What should be noted during the daily operation of a fully automatic vertical high-pressure steam sterilizer?

I. Fully Automatic Vertical High-Pressure Steamer Precautions and Maintenance
1. During operation of the fully automatic vertical high-pressure steam generator, the safety valve shall be maintained and inspected. When the equipment has been idle for an extended period and is to be put back into service, the small lever on the safety valve should be actuated to verify that the valve disc moves freely, thereby preventing spring corrosion from impairing the valve’s ability to trip properly.
2. During equipment operation, if the pressure gauge reading exceeds 0.165 MPa and the safety valve fails to open, immediately shut off the power supply and open the vent valve knob. Once the pressure gauge pointer returns to zero, wait for 1–2 minutes before opening the vessel lid and promptly replacing the safety valve.
3. When stacking items, it is strictly prohibited to block the vent hole of the safety valve; sufficient clearance must be maintained to ensure unobstructed venting. 4. Before each use, it is mandatory to check that the water level in the outer tank remains at the tank’s support feet.
5. When the equipment is operating continuously, allow a 5-minute interval before starting a new operation, and open the top cover to give the equipment time to cool down.
6. When handling liquids, they shall be contained in rigid, heat-resistant glass bottles, filled to no more than three-quarters of the bottle’s volume. The bottle opening must be sealed with a cotton-gauze plug; never use solid rubber or cork plugs without perforations. Special note: at the end of the liquid discharge process, steam must not be released immediately; the residual steam may only be vented after the pressure gauge pointer has returned to the zero position.
7. Do not store items of different types and requirements—such as dressings and liquids—together, to avoid prioritizing one at the expense of the other and resulting in losses.
8. When taking or placing items, take care not to be scalded by steam (wearing lined gloves is recommended). II. Operating Procedures
Before operating the equipment, first turn on the power switch to connect the power supply. Once the control unit has entered the operating state, you may proceed with the following operations:
1. Rotate the handwheel to open the outer tub lid, remove the mesh basket, and then remove the water baffle.
2. Close the drain valve tightly, then fill the outer tank with clean water to the level of the tank’s partition foot (below the water baffle). During continuous operation, the water level must be replenished after each use.
3. Place the fully automatic vertical high-pressure steam sterilizer back on the water tray and in the mesh basket. After wrapping the items to be sterilized, arrange them sequentially inside the mesh basket, leaving adequate space between each item to facilitate steam penetration and enhance sterilization efficacy.
4. Push the outer drum lid forward to align the container lid with the drum opening. Rotate the handwheel clockwise until the door-closing indicator light goes off, ensuring that the container lid is fully sealed against the drum opening and that the interlock mechanism engages properly with the gear recess.
5. Connect one end of a rubber hose to the vent pipe and immerse the other end in a container filled with cold water. Then tightly close the manual vent valve (tighten clockwise to close, loosen counterclockwise to open).
6. During the heating and temperature-raising process, when the temperature displayed on the temperature controller is below 102°C, the solenoid valve controlled by the temperature controller will automatically vent steam to remove the cold air inside the vessel; when the temperature exceeds 102°C, steam venting will automatically stop. If significant steam is still being vented at this point, it indicates that the manual vent valve is not fully closed and should be promptly tightened. Once the steam pressure (and corresponding temperature) inside the fully automatic vertical high-pressure steam sterilizer reaches the required set value, the timing indicator light will illuminate.
7. Once the set temperature and time have been reached, the fully automatic vertical high-pressure steam sterilizer will automatically cut off the heating power supply; the “Operate” indicator light and the “Timing” indicator light will turn off, accompanied by an audible buzzer as a reminder, and the control panel will display “End.” At this point, the cycle is complete. Allow the pressure inside the chamber to drop to near zero through natural cooling, then open the lid and remove the samples.

How to Properly Use Electric Heating Equipment Such as Oven Dryers
The oven must be placed indoors in a dry, level location to prevent vibration and corrosion. Always ensure that the power supply is properly monitored: select a power switch and wiring that match the oven’s power consumption and capacity, and provide a reliable grounding connection.
